When do the blossoms peak?
In a typical year, Gyeongju’s cherry blossoms bloom in early April, with full bloom often falling in the first third of the month. Weather can shift the season significantly, so check a current local forecast shortly before traveling.
Weekday mornings are calmer than weekends. A light rain or strong wind can shorten peak bloom, but falling petals bring their own atmosphere to the tomb district.
